At Balshaw Lane, we have always aimed to offer a rich, vibrant curriculum in a happy environment.

Whilst we aim for high academic standards, test results are not our sole purpose.

We want our pupils to leave school feeling confident, with a strong desire for life-long learning.

KS2 Results 2022

Our KS2 results for EXS+ (Expected Standard and above) are above national averages for both 2022 and 2019 in:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Maths
  • Combined Reading, Writing and Maths

This is a fantastic achievement, following the pandemic, particularly as we maintained our rich, vibrant curriulum throughout that time.
