Class 8C have been very busy over the last few weeks working with Mrs Wignall and Mrs Bowden to create a multimedia animation based around space.
We started by creating a storyboard and researching the planets that may feature in our animation. The clay characters were then developed along with the backgrounds. The planets were made using pastels to create a 3d effect.
The photos were taken using the iPads and an app called Stop Motion, which created the basic animation. We used 'onion skinning' so we could see the progression of the animation!
We used the Garage Band app to create a piece of music for our production, mixing various musical loops considering the mood we wanted to create for our soundtrack. This was then saved to the iPad.
We then had to import the animation from Stop Motion and the music from Garage Band to another app called iMovie which mixed the two together to create a finished animation.
The last thing we had to do was email the video as an attachment, including a CC to ourselves, so they could be shown on the school website.
The finished animations are fantastic - we hope you enjoy them.
